Glengariff Estate, Brisbane Wedding Video- Tracy and Dan

When I first had a meeting with Dan and Tracy in a little cafe I realized immediately that here were a very kind and loving couple. When a few months later i arrived to film the wedding, things had been going well as Tracy was well into her pregnancy. Despite the obvious challenges that came with being pregnant, Tracy, Dan and the bridal party were cheerful and happy to have had amazing weather on the day. A pleasure to work with.

Glengariff Estate is a breathtaking venue conveniently located near Brisbane. A family run venue which was really ideal with wet weather backup plans, which we didn’t need, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. There are some great locations for film and photography, we kept it simple this time to save the pregnant newly wed’s feet.

Many thanks to Emotive Images who were a pleasure to work with.

Will And Faith’s Brisbane Wedding Film- St.Johns Cathedral and Customs House

It was great to see a few familiar faces again at this wedding after having filmed a few of their friends weddings. TV presenter Michael Balk kept spirits high with his great sense of humour throughout the day.

Despite the rain and wind Will and Faith braved the outdoors to let photographer, Marcus Bell from Studio Impressions and myself grab some shots of them and the amazing transport that was carrying us around. Apparently these vintage cars from Absolute Vintage Elegance have been used to transport Royalty and the Beatles!

St Johns Cathedral is a truly impressive venue for wedding ceremonies and Customs House offers some great filming and photo opportunities especially when the weather is wet!

All in all it was a great day and I enjoyed speeding up the dancing at the end of the video and the bouquet toss was hilarious!

Wedding Video Feedback- Wild Bunch Weddings

So over the last month we’ve done a few wedding films and it’s amazing what a journey it is. It’s virtually impossible to to be untouched by the emotions on the day, which makes the testimonials we receive mean a lot to us. It’s also nice to know that the testimonials are going beyond just us; around 50% of our work came from referrals this year and it looks like next year will be a big referral year too…

So the small Wild Bunch Weddings studio team have been amazing. I won’t put all the testimonials up but over the next few posts I’ll put the wedding film clip and testimonial from the relevant couple.

Thanks everyone.

Here’s one from Amanda and Rei:

“To love it is an understatement. It is the most amazing thing we have seen!
You have exceeded all our expectations & it is more beautiful that we could have ever imagined!
Thank you sooooooo much! It brought tears to our eyes!
Amanda & Rei.”

Thank you sooooooo much! It brought tears to our eyes…”

Many thanks to Hair stylist Kelly Weaver, Allyson Duncan Make Up and LM Images who did the photography, Starlight Limo’s and of course a great venue at Workshops Rail Museum and the Darling Street Chapel.

Sunshine Coast Wedding Video – Jemima & Josh

Jemima and Josh were very easy to work with. With the flawless and elegant planning done by Lovebird Weddings and the Reception in Bistro C, which always seems to be able to create the most incredible party atmosphere.
The light on the day at Noosa Main beach was pretty special too.
The couple contacted us to see if we could grab some stills from the footage to blow up into photographs. We’ve tried this before with varying degrees of success, however now a handful of Digital SLR’s (stills cameras that shoot video) are using inter-frame technology rather than intra-frame which blends the frames in film. This makes it a lot easier to grab still images which will have an incredible quality.
Photographers shouldn’t worry, as out of the 25-60 frames per second that are shot on film, only a handful will actually be useable as we have a constant ‘shutter speed’, unlike a dedicated stills photographer who has more scope to compose a shot.
However it does allow us to ‘grab’ some fantastic images and add another option or dimension to the service we can offer at Wild Bunch Weddings.

Marie Claire magazine, Marcus Bell and Wild Bunch Weddings- am i dreaming..?

Susie & Nick- Little Cove from Wild Bunch Weddings on Vimeo

Susie and Nicholas’ Noosa Wedding was really quite an Amazing event. They had chosen Little Cove Noosa, to have their romantic and touching wedding ceremony.

The tides were pretty high and the sea came rushing in to add to the fun atmosphere and give it’s blessing to the couple.

Susie and Nicholas are from Sydney but Noosa holds special memories for them. Susie is the Marketing Director for Marie Claire magazine, so many familiar faces from TV, magazines and Sydney High society. A few of her freinds put together some really stylish elements to the wedding.

Marcus Bell from Studio Impressions captured the whole event in the unique and timeless style which he has become famous for. If you miss his pics on the website keep your eyes peeled for the Marie Claire Magazine which will be featuring them also. Marcus as always, was a pleasure to work with.

The elegant and understated styling is all thanks to Katerina and David from DG3. These guys are used to important events, like the Olympic Games, the Superbowl in the US, the Logies and Susie and Nicholas’ wedding. Susie beautiful dress by Steven Khalil. Sails restaurant staff, food and atmosphere was the epitome of elegant and relaxed. Terrianne at http://www.mondofloraldesigns.com.au/ provided her usual extremely creative and high standards. The cake too was classic soft pink romance by Lee Berryman at Cake designs. .

You can catch a bit of the guests singing and speeches in the highlights, truly touching. In fact the song which follows the ceremony in the highlights clip was the first part of the song which Nicholas sang to Susie, which was brave, very touching and not at all corny.

The DJ Stephen Ferris read the crowd and the atmosphere as only someone as accomplished as Stephen could.

What a day and what a night! A lotta LOVE went into this.

Noosa North Shore Wedding in the Wind

A blustery day with Rob and Inna. North Shore then up for some live singing with Inna, the bride. This wedding was mainly shot on the Mark 2 canon which gives the footage a very crisp feel.

A blustery tropical day on Noosa’s North Shore, followed by a cruise up the river to Trios Restaurant.

A Fairy Tale Wedding Story- The Boathouse on Noosa River

This wedding we shot recently was interesting. At the last minute the couple had to decide whether to have the ceremony on the beach or inside at The Boathouse…. it was very mixed weather.
The Boathouse turned out really well with amazing views up and down the river and then nowhere to travel to get to the reception.

We always try to tell a story with our highlights clips and capture emotions. Myself and Jai filmed and edited this one and we were really happy with the flow.

Enjoy!
