A great part of this job is seeing some incredible locations, as private venues go this one was one of the most breathtaking.

Incredibly fun couple, Jane and Tim, were fanatastic to film and plenty of laughs were provided by the bridal party.

When I first had a meeting with Dan and Tracy in a little cafe I realized immediately that here were a very kind and loving couple. When a few months later i arrived to film the wedding, things had been going well as Tracy was well into her pregnancy. Despite the obvious challenges that came with being pregnant, Tracy, Dan and the bridal party were cheerful and happy to have had amazing weather on the day. A pleasure to work with.

Glengariff Estate is a breathtaking venue conveniently located near Brisbane. A family run venue which was really ideal with wet weather backup plans, which we didn’t need, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. There are some great locations for film and photography, we kept it simple this time to save the pregnant newly wed’s feet.

It was great to see a few familiar faces again at this wedding after having filmed a few of their friends weddings. TV presenter Michael Balk kept spirits high with his great sense of humour throughout the day.

Despite the rain and wind Will and Faith braved the outdoors to let photographer, Marcus Bell from Studio Impressions and myself grab some shots of them and the amazing transport that was carrying us around. Apparently these vintage cars from Absolute Vintage Elegance have been used to transport Royalty and the Beatles!

St Johns Cathedral is a truly impressive venue for wedding ceremonies and Customs House offers some great filming and photo opportunities especially when the weather is wet!

All in all it was a great day and I enjoyed speeding up the dancing at the end of the video and the bouquet toss was hilarious!

A really fun day at The House of Laurels with Melissa Jean’s (photographer) bubbly personality to keep everyone smiling. Amazing makeup as always by Pru Edwards.

Sally, Steve and the Bridal Party were amazing and the sunlight was out of this world!

We were really happy to have been selected by the bride tree as their ‘wedding of the week’. Completely unexpected was Mieke’s comment. We all shared a glass of wine at the studio and feel so lucky to have been part of Mieke’s day. Filming weddings really is a passion of ours and weddings provide such an amazing stage…

A lunchtime wedding, so we had a morning ceremony. I laughed so much with these guys i really had a hard time keeping the camera still. You have to see the chocolate selection and decorations at Seasons Restaurant . Many thanks to Calli B photography who as always was great!

This was a big wedding in so many ways. Lots of spectacular events were organised, various locations around Noosa were used to for the various parts of the Jewish Ceremony. An original ceremony location on Noosa Main beach and a lot of dancing.

Dancing and singing on the beach, streets, restaurants, clubs. I really enjoyed editing this one and you can see the emotion and joy that went into the day.

An incredible day with Georgie and Andrew Browne from the Scotchmans Hill wine family, so a lot of fantastic wine was served at Ricky’s Restaurant (incredible, iconic venue for weddings). Rather than come on the photo shoot the couple wanted Wild Bunch Wedings to grab guest comments and messages on video, mostly form the Catalina Cruise Boat going up the Noosa River at Sunset.

Most guest had traveled up from Melbourne and had been tucking into the bubbly by the time i interviewed them, so most comments will remain on the DVD that was sent out. Kim from Events of Noosa did a great job as always and Pru Edwards is simply a fantastic make up artist who consistently has such high standards.

The couple sent me message:

So over the last month we’ve done a few wedding films and it’s amazing what a journey it is. It’s virtually impossible to to be untouched by the emotions on the day, which makes the testimonials we receive mean a lot to us. It’s also nice to know that the testimonials are going beyond just us; around 50% of our work came from referrals this year and it looks like next year will be a big referral year too…

So the small Wild Bunch Weddings studio team have been amazing. I won’t put all the testimonials up but over the next few posts I’ll put the wedding film clip and testimonial from the relevant couple.
